Acupuncture Point Suliao (GV25)
Location:
Proper sitting with one's back propped or lie supinely; at apex nasi of the lower side of dorsum nasi.

Function:
Clearing the nasal passage and promoting resuscitation.

Regional Anatomy:
Skin-subcutaneous tissue-septal cartilage of nose and lateral nasal cartilage.
There are the lateral nasal branches of the anterior ethmoidal nerve and the dorsal nadal branches of the facial artery and vein in this area.

Indications:
Unconsciousness, nasal obstruction, epistaxis, rhinorrhea, and rosacea.

Prescription:
Combined use with Neiguan (PC6) Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point) and Zusanli (ST 36) He-Sea Point) for treatment of shock and collapse; and with NeiyingxiangEXHN9 (EX-HN9) for treatment of nasal polyp.

Methods:
Insert the needle obliquely to upward 0.2-0.3 cun depth or prick to cause bleeding; needling response: local distention and pain.
