Chinese Cupping therapy helps relieve Stiff Neck

Stiffness of neck is a commonly encountered damage of cervical soft tissues due to high or low pillow or invasion of wind-cold into the back that prevents the smooth circulation of qi and blood in the meridians. The clinical manifestations are unilateral or bilateral stiffness and pain in the neck as well as restricted movement of the neck due to worsened pain

Location cupped and methods:
Acupoints selected: dazhui, jianjing, tianzong, Xuanzhong (GB 39), eshixue

Methods:
(1) Cupping: you should attach cups on the acupoints of dazhui, jianjing, xianzhong and local sites that feel pain when pressed after flash of fire. Or, you can adopt suction gas cupping attach on these acpoints;
(2) Needle cupping: after regional disinfection of dazhui, jianjing, tianzong, Kunlun and eshixue, you should stab the acupoints with the acupuncture needles and cup them after moving the needles;
(3) Venesection of cupping: after disinfecting regional part of eshixue, you should use skin needles to knock it until its bleeding, and then adopt cupping after flash of fire.
