    Staff and Students of the Peiyang Medical College
    In 1881,the Qing Government established the Tientsin Medical College(Tianjin Yixueguan)as successor to the Beiyang Medical Bureau.In 1893 the name was changed to Peiyang Medical College (Beiyang Yixuetang).This institution was the earliest government-run Western-style medical school in China.Fig.1 is a photograph of the teaching staff and students at the first commencement ceremony in 1893；Fig.2 is the 1911 class and teaching staff.
