    The acupoints on the lumbar region are needled perpendicularly 0.5 - 1 cun.
    Shangliao (BL 31), Ciliao (BL 32), Zhongliao (BL 33) and Xialiao (BL 34) on the sacral region
    These acupoints are needled perpendicularly 1-1.5 cun. On puncturing Shangliao (BL 31), the needle tip slightly points to the pubic symphysis in order to puncture into the first posterior sacral foramen.
