Arrhythmias are disorders of the regular rhythmic beating of the heart, which is usually classified into tachvcardia ( refers to a heart rate of more than 100 beats per minute ) and bradycardia (describes a rate of less than 60 beats per minute). It is characterized by palpitations and panic attack, accompanied with dizziness, stuffy chest, nausea, pale complexion, cold sweating, even fainting, and treated with herbs for tonifying qi, activating blood circulation and removing obstruction from the collaterals.

Treatment
1. Neiguan (PC6)
Neiguan ( PC6 ) is selected bilaterally and inserted by filiform needle towards Jianshi (PC7) at depth of 1-1.2 cun and manipulated by thrusting, lifting and rotating method and needles are left for 15- 30 minutes, once daily.

2. Danzhong (RN17)
A fine needle is horizontally inserted into the point downwards at depth of 1 cun with even method and remained for 30 minutes during which manipulation is done every 5-10 minutes.

Note
If it is not caused by organic heart disease. Arrhythmias can be improved after acupuncture treatment.
