[Location] Localized in the erect sitting position and with the knee flexed, the point is at the knee, below the patella, in the depression lateral to the patella ligament. (Fig.47)
 
[Regional Anatomy] Skin→subcutaneous tissue→between ligament of patella and lateral patellar retinaculum →capsule of knee joint and alar folds. Superficial layer, the lateral sural cutaneous nerve, the prior cutaneous branches of the femoral nerve, the branch of saphenous nerve, the network of knee joint's arteries and veins; deep layer, the articular cavity of knee joint.
