(1) Bleeding on Three Shang Points

Points: Shaoshang (LU11), Zhongshang (about 0.1 cun to the center of the nail root of the thumb dorsum) and Laoshang (about 0.1 cun lateral to the ulnar side of the thumbnail).

Technique: A three-edged needle is applied on the points bilaterally to achieve slight bleeding. The treatment is given once a day for epidemic common cold.

(2) Bleeding on Jinjin (Ex- HE12) and Yuye (Ex-HE13)

Points: Jinjin (Ex-HE12), Yuye (Ex-HE13), Quze (PC3) and Weizhong (BL 40)

Technique: Bleeding method is applied on the points to achieve slight bleeding, once daily. The method is suitable for treating epidemic gastrointestinal common colds.
