1. Cupping can nourish the kidney and strengthen Yang
Kidney is regarded as the source of congenital constitution in TCM. The kidney can store essence and qi, govern growth of bones, produce marrow and connect the brain, and govern urinary and defecation. It has closely relationship with ageing. Therefore, cupping can nourish the kidney and strengthen Yang(strengthen sexual function for female). It also is one the important manipulations that should be adopted by old people.

Cupping manipulation
Acupoint selected: Shenshu (BL23), Guanyuanshu (BL 26), Taixi (KI3).
Method: Select vacuum cupping or fire cupping. Suck on the acupoints mentioned above and retain them for 10-15 munities. Manipulate the cupping 3 times every week and 4 weeks as one course of treatment.

2. Cupping can strengthen the spleen and balance the kidney
The spleen and kidney are regarded as the "sea of water and foods" and are the sources for the production and transformation of qi and blood. The foods people have eaten is digested by the kidney while the nutrients in the foods is transmitted by the spleen. Method: Select vacuum cupping or fire cupping. 2-3 acupoints each time, cup every 2-3 days and retain the cups for 10-15 minutes with one month as one course of treatment.
