What type of diet recommended for small intestine obstructions

Health Consultation Description: ... months... No surgery was needed, just hospital stay with an NG tube. I'm trying to prevent another anytime soon... what type of diet would you recommend? I've been looking into doing a soft diet

Condition analysis:
I would suggest a low residue diet - having said that since I follow that for colitis, I'd definitely find a gastroenterologist and have an upper GI series done and let him/her prescribe and advise you what to do. 3 obstructions in the last 6 months is WAY too many - find a gastroenterologist and quit playing doctor with yourself! All the best.
