Myopia (near-sight) treated by reflexology

This is an eye condition with normal near sight but impaired far sight.
   
Myopia, axial myopia, indicia myopia and pseudomyopia in modern medicine are included under this condition and can be treated by the following methods.

Applications of hand therapy:

Massage therapy:
   
Location: Midline of palm, eye area, liver area, kidney area, Erjian (LI 2), Dagukong (EX-UE 5), Xiaogukong (EX-UE 6) and head area.
   
Method of manipulation: Rubbing midline of palm, digitpressing and kneading maneuvers applied at eye. kidney and liver areas; digit-pressing and pinching maneuvers at Erjian (LI 2), Dagukong (EX-UE 5), Xiaogukong (EX-UE 6), and head area. The patient is asked to close his eyes, concentrate his attention on the eyeballs, and turn them from side to side.
   
Acupuncture therapy:
  
At regular and extra acupoint:
   
Location: Hegu (LI 4).
   
Method of manipulation: The needle is inserted and retained for 30 minutes.
  
At reflective points:
  
Location: Eye point and liver point.

Method of manipulation: The needles are inserted for 1 cm and retained for five minutes after medium stimulation.
  
At reflective areas:
  
Location: Eye area in palmar reflective areas and ulnar or radial reverse palmar reflective areas.
  
Method of manipulation: The needles are not retained.
