Dysuria or painful urination is a condition in which a person has pain or a burning sensation while urinating. Although it is a very common problem, it should not be left unattended as it can further lead to some serious problem. Women suffer from dysuria more as compared to men and around 25 percent of women have this problem every year. It is more common in women between the age group of 25 to 54 years whose sex life is more active. It can occur in young girls too, when bacteria enters into the urinary tract which could happen by improper wiping in the wrong direction of back to front than vice versa.
