Paper. 131.5 ~ 60 cm. Wu Shiji (aim named Zhun and Anye, styled Shangxian, 1806-1886) was a native of Qiantang (now Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province). His Medical Dis-course on External Treatment ( Wai zhi yi shuo ), renamed Parallel Prose on External Therapy (Li yue bianwen ) for the second edition, was the first monographic treatise on" external treatment," which applies medicaments to the skin to treat internal as well as external disorders.
