(1) Blow the musk powder into the ear by onion pipe, then plug the onion pipe in the ear. It can treat deafness due to cold limbs of the channel qi.
(2) Grind 0.9 g of small snakeskin, borneol and musk into powder, then blow the powder into the ear by goose pipe. It can treat serious deafness.
(3) Grind 30g of Radix Astragali (Huangqi), 15g of white caltrop, 15g of Rhizoma seu Radix Notopterygii, 10g of Radix Aconiti Lateralis Praeparata (Fuzi), a pair of castrated sheep kidneys into powder, then make it into honey bolus as large as surname seed, take 3g for make soup with green onion and table salt each time before meals. It can treat tinnitus due to kidney deficiency.
(4) Grind 45g of earthworm and Chuanxiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong) into powder, take 6g of the powder with Ophiopogon Decoction, then prostrate sleep with head drop after taking this decoction, once a night, the efficiency could be seen after three nights of taking the decoction.
(5) Chew yellow wax and Poria powder with tea or soup.
(6) Wrap half cun of Euphorbia Kansui in the cotton, put it into the ears, or chew half cun of Euphorbia Kansui in the mouth.
(7) Flos Sophorae Tea: Decoct 200g of celery, 40g of Flos Sophorae, 40g of wrapped Semen Plantaginis in the water, take it as drink, once a day for several drinks.
(8) Tinnitus and deafness due to over-fatigue: chop 60-90g of pigskin and chive thoroughly, add some table salt, then stew them for eating, eat continuously for 3 days.
(9) Pricking and blood letting therapy: Select Taichong (LR 3), Zhongzhu (TE3), Xiaxi (GB43), Kunlun (BL60). Apply pricking acupuncture by three edged needle to the above selected acupoints after regular sterilization, squeeze out 2 drops of blood and do the manipulation twice a day.
(10) Auricular needle: Select TF4, CO10, CO18, LO5, and inner ear. Acupuncture by filiform needle to the above selected acupoints for 30-60 minutes after regular sterilization, apply digital pressing massage to the selected acupoints for 20 minutes after 2-3 hours of acupuncture, twice a day. Press the acupoints for 20 minutes 2-3 hours after the manipulation of acupuncture.
