(1) 60g Cornu Bubali, 30g Rhizorna Cimicifugae (Shengma), 30g Rhizoma et Radix Notopterygii (Qianghuo), 30g Divaricate Saposhnikovia Root, 15g Rhizoma Typhonii, 15g Angelica Dahurica, 30g Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata (Shudihuang), 15g Ligusticum Wallichii, 15g Flowers Carthami, 15g Radix Scutellariae (Huangqin), 6g Radix Glycyrrhizae (Gancao). Grind all the ingredients into thin powder and stew it, make them into small pills, take 10g with warm water in the evening. This recipe has the effect of dispelling wind and clearing heat, cooling and dissipating blood, treating freckle.
(2) Right amount of Fructus Xanthii. Wash it clean and dry by a fire, then grind into thin powder, infuse 3g of the powder in the rice-water after meal, three times a day. This recipe is applicable for freckle due to wind-evil invading the face and disharmony of the qi and blood.
(3) 15g Rehmannia Glutinosa, 10g Fructus Corni (Shanzhuyu), 10g fried Cortex Moutan, 12g Poria, 30g Rhizoma Dioscoreae (Shanyao), 3g Rhizorna Cimicifugae (Shengma), 3g Rhizoma Typhonii, 3g Herba Asari (Xixin), 3g Radix Morindae Officinalis (Bajitian), 10g Radix Glycyrrhizae (Gancao). Decoct them in the water for oral administration, one dose a day, divide it into two parts to take. This recipe is indicated for freckle due to kidney yin deficiency.
(4) 20g Capillary Artemisia, 15g Sanguisorba Officinalis, 15g Radices Lithospermi, 10g Radix Paeoniae Rubra, 15g Fructus Kochiae, 15g Rhizoma Smilacis Glabrae. Decoct them in the water for oral administration, one dose a day. This recipe has the effect of clearing heat and cooling blood, removing freckle and beautify the skin. It’s indicated for freckle.
(5) Cut 60g fresh celery root into pieces and soak into water for 24 hour, filter it and wash the face with the juice, twice a day, in the morning and in the evening.
