(1) Herbal Therapy
1) Internal Medicine
a. Insufficiency of Kidney Water:
Therapeutic Methods: To nourish yin and tonify kidney.
Prescription: Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill.
For patients with effulgent yin vacuity fire:
Prescription: Anemarrhena, Phellodendron, and Rehmannia Pill.
b. Blood-heat with Wind:
Therapeutic Methods: To cool blood and invigorate the circulation of blood.
Prescription: Modified Rhinoceros Horn and Rhizoma Cimicifugae Decoction.
For patients with dry month and fond of cold drink, add gypsum and Rhizoma Anemarrhenae.
For patients with dry stool, add Rheum Officinale and Fructus Gardeniae.
2) External Medicine
a. Mix right amount of black petunia rice with egg white evenly, apply on the face before sleep and wash face after getting up. This recipe can remove the freckle and protect skin.

c. Right amount of White Sandalwood and Starch Solution. Grind the White Sandalwood into juice, the making method of starch solution: Soak the boiled rice in the ice water for 5-6 days until it become white foam, filter it and wash face with warm starch solution, wipe face with towel, then apply White Sandalwood juice on the face with freckle and wash face in the next day morning. This recipe is effective to the freckle.
d. Right amount of peach blossom, wax gourd kernel and honey. Process: Grind peach blossom into thin powder, shell the wax gourd and grind into powder, mix them with honey evenly and apply on the face, wash face after getting up in the next morning, once a day. This recipe has the effect of regulate qi and invigorate the circulation of blood, moisten skin and remove freckle.
(2) Acupoints Massage
a. Massage along with the facial muscle direction, accompanied with digital rubbing manipulation to the facial acupoints.
b. Manipulation: Apply rubbing, smearing, patting, flipping and rolling manipulation. Select Yintang (EX-HN3), Cuanzhu (BL2), Yuyao (EX-HN4), Sizhukong (TE23), Sibai (ST2), Taiyang (EX- HN 5), Dicang (ST4), Jiache (ST6), Xiaguan (ST7), Quanliao (SI 18), Yingxiang (LI 20), Yangbai (GB 14).
(3) Guasha Therapy
1) Acupoints: Head: Du meridian -- Shenting (GV24); Gallbladder channel -- Fengchi (GB 20); Back: Urinary bladder channel – bilateral Feishu (BL 13), Pishu (BL20), Shenshu (BL23); Abdomen: Ren meridian -- Juque (CV 14), Qihaishu (BL24); Upper limbs: Large intestine meridian – bilateral Hegu (LI 4); Lower limbs: Stomach meridian – bilateral Zusanli (ST 36); Spleen meridian – bilateral Sanyinjiao (SP6).
1) Face: According to the scraping method, sequence and step of beautifying skin, find and press and rub lung and kidney areas, Yingxiang (LI 20) and positive reflection areas with many freckles.
(4) Cupping Therapy
Acupoints selected: Fengchi (GB 20), Feishu (BL 13), Shenshu (BL23), Zusanli (ST 36), Xuehai (SP 10), Yinlingquan (SP9).
