Composite Recipes of Medicated Diet
1) Gruel with Herba Cistanchis (Roucongrong) and Mutton (Congrong Yangrou Zhou)
INGREDIENTS: Desertliving cistanche, Herba Cistanchis(10 to 15g), Choice mutton(100g), Polished round-grained rice, Semen Oryzae Sativae(100g), Chines green onion, Rhizoma Zingiberis (Ganjiang) (2 stalks), Gioger, Rhizoma Zingiberis (Ganjiang) (3 slices)
PROCESS: Have the desertliving cistanche and mutton washed clean and cut into thin pieces. First, decoct the desertliving cistanche in earthenware pot to get the extract and remove the residue; put in the mutton and polished rice to make gruel. When it boils, add salt, fresh ginger and Chines green onion to make thin gruel.
DIRECTIONS: It is suitable to be taken in winter.
2) Gruel of Antler Gelatin (Lujiaojiao Zhou)
INGREDIENTS: Antler gelatin, Colla Comus Cervi(15 to 20g), Polished round-grained rice, Semen Oryzae Sativae(100g), Fresh ginger, Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens(3 slices)
PROCESS: First, make gruel with the polished round. Grained rice; when it boils, add antler gelatin and fresh ginger to make thin gruel.
DIRECTIONS: This kind of gruel is suitable to be taken in winter; take it for 3 to 5 days as a course of treatment.
3) Freshwater Shrimps Stir-fried with Chinese Chives (Qingxia Chao Jiucai)
INGREDIENTS: Freshwater shrimps, Macrobrachium nipponense(250g), Chinese chives, Herba Allii Tuberosi(100g), Rice wine(a bit), Soy sauce(a bit), Vinegar(a bit)
PROCESS: Have the Chinese chives washed clean and cut into short sections; stir-fry the freshwater shrimps in vegetable oil; add the spices and quickfry. Then put in the Chinese chives and stir-fry until it is tenderly done.
DIRECTIONS: It has an auxiliary curative effect if patients with sterility due to retention of cold in the uterus take it frequently.
