    Character of the tongue: The tongue is extremely red or even dark red.
    Clinical significance: It indicates that pathogenic heat enters the nutrient and blood aspects and consumes yin.
    Main causes:
    a.The hyperactive pathogenic heat leads qi and blood upwards to fill the tongue channels.
    b. Heat enters nutrient and blood aspects and consumes yin, and then the blood is concentrated.
