Localized in the supine position and weth the knee flexed, on the perineum, at the midpoint between the root of the scrotum and the anus in males, and at the midpoint between the posterior labial commissure and the anus in females. (Fig.73)
Regional Anatomy
Skin--subcutaneous tissue--perineal central tendon. Superficial layer, the distribution of the perineal branch of the posterior femoral cutaneous nerve, the branch of the perineal nerve derive from the pubic nerve; deep layer, the branch of the pubic nerve, and the branches or the subordiantial ramus of the medial pubic artery and vein.
