Originating from medial aspect of hallux toe, Spleen meridian of foot-taiyin absorbs qi of stomach meridian. Arising from medial side of hallux toe, along toe bone, metatarsal bone, cuneiform bone and medial aspect of ankle central bone, passing the anterior aspect of medial malleolus, running obliquely from upper medial malleolus to posterior tibia, going along flexor digitorum longus up to 8 cun of medial malleolus, then it intersects with liver meridian of foot-jueyin. Running upward to posterior border of tibia and anterior to liver meridian of foot-jueyin, along medial side patella of knee joint and ventro-thigh, it goes straight groin into abdomen. Going abdomen upward, it is distributed over spleen, stomach and pancreas. Going spleen upward, passing disphragmatic muscle and thoracic cavity along esophagus, going upward along either side of trachea, it is distributed over throat, root of tongue and hypoglossis. The trunk which goes up from spleen and passes through disphragmatic muscle is distributed over thoracic cavity and the heart and lung; it is associated with heart meridian of hand-shaoyin at heart which connects qi of heart meridian of hand-shaoyin.

In original context of Internal Classic, there is no record about Spleen meridian of foot-taiyin circulates surface of chest and abdomen. As according to data of A-B Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Illustrated Manual on the Points for Acupuncture and Moxibustion as Found on the Bronze Figure, The Enlargement of the Fourteen Channels, there is circuitry goes around surface of chest and abdomen, arising from Fushe acupoint of groin, going along lateral side of rectus abdominis up to rib, running obliquely out to Zhourong acupoint- the second rib of lateral side of chest and penetrating chest and is distributed over thoracic cavity and lung. Forking from thoracic cavity, coming through Dabao acupoint of the sixth rib at 3 inches below oxter, it is distributed over costa sternales and forms great collateral vessel of spleen meridian of foot-taiyin.

Collateral of Spleen meridian of foot-taiyin:
Originating from Gongsun acupoint of spleen meridian of foot-taiyin at 1 inch after the first metatarsophalangeal joint, forking from two branches here, the first comes across dorsum of foot and is associated with meridians in internal and external relation---stomach meridian and forms intercommunication gangway of qi of meridians in internal and external relation. The second branch goes upward along spleen meridian of foot-taiyin, passing knee joint and medial aspect of thigh to groin and penetrating into abdomen, it is distributed over large intestine, small intestine and stomach.

Great collateral of spleen meridian of foot-taiyin:
Great collateral of spleen meridian of foot-taiyin, which forking from spleen meridian of foot-taiyin in thoracic cavity and coming out of Dabao (SP21) acupoint of the sixth rib at 3 cun below oxter, is distributed over costa sternales area.

Divergent collateral of spleen meridian of foot-taiyin:
Forking from spleen meridian of foot-taiyin at 1/2 of medial aspect of thigh, running obliquely toward to the anterior thigh and forking from here, it is associated with stomach meridian and forms the second intercommunication gangway of qi of meridians in internal and external relation(the first gangway is collateral). The trunk floats along divergent collateral of stomach meridian at groin into abdomen and is distributed over spleen and stomach. It ascends disphragmatic muscle to chest and is distributed over heart. Ascending along esophagus from heart, it is distributed over tongue and throat. The branch here is associated with stomach meridian and forms the third intercommunication gangway of qi of meridians in internal and external relation which becomes the third combination in "six combinations".
