Acupuncture Extra Point Duyin (EX-LE11)
Location:
Lie pronely; on the plantar side of the 2nd toe, at the midpoint of the stria of distal toe knuckle.

Function:
Regulating the flow of qi and blood.

Regional Anatomy:
Skin-subcutaneous tissue-tendons of short and long flexor muscles of toes.
There are the proper digital plantar nerve and the branches or tributaries of the proper digital plantar artery and vein in this area.

Indications:
Dystocia, Irregular Menstruation, abdominal pain, vomiting, and pain in the chest and hypochondriac regions.

Prescription:
Combined use with HeguLI4 (Hegu (LI 4) Yuan-Source Point) and SanyinjiaoSP6 (Sanyinjiao (SP6)) for treatment of dystocia.

Methods:
Insert the needle perpendicularly to 0.1-0.2 cun deep; needling response: local pain, distension and numbness; moxibustion: using 3-5 moxa-cones, or mild moxibustion for 5-10 min.
