Acupuncture Point Yinlian (LR11)
Location:
Supine position; 2 cun directly below QichongST30( Qichong (ST30)) which is 2 cun laterally apart from QuguCV2(Qugu (CV2)).

Function:
Regulating menstruation and normalizing the functions of lower jiao.

Regional Anatomy:
Skin-subcutaneous tissue-long adbuctor muscle-short adbuctor muscle-small adductor muscle.
In the superficial layer, there are the anterior cutaneous branches of the femoral nerve, the great saphenous vein and the superficial inguinal lymph nodes. In the deep layer, there are the anterior and posterior branches of the obturator nerve and the muscular branches of the medial femoral circumflex artery and vein.

Indications:
Irregular Menstruation, Leukorrhea with reddish discharge, lower abdominal pain, and pain in the thigh and leg.

Prescription:
Combined use with Ligou (LR 5) Luo-Connecting Point) for treatment of sterility; and with Qugu (CV2) for treatment of pudendal eczema.

Methods:
Insert the needle perpendicularly to 1-1.5 cun depth; needling response: local numbness and distention; 0 3 moxa-cones, or mild moxibustion for 5 min.
