Points: Points relevant to the paralyzed regions, sub-cortex, liver, Sanjiao and middle border. Heart and liver are combined for aphasia; mouth and throat are added for swallowing debility.

Technique: The above-mentioned points should be needled with filiform needles. The points on one side of the ear are punctured in each treatment. A strong stimulation is applied and the needles are retained for 30 minutes to one hour. The treatment is carried out once a day, and points on different ears are used altemately. Semen Vaccaria seeds can be used in the treatment. These are put on points of both ears and changed once every five days.
