(1) Moxibustion with Moxa Cones on Spine

Point: On the spine at the same level of the center of the umbilicus.

Technique: Apply seven big moxa cones on the point. If the hematochezia cannot be relieved, another seven moxa cones can be used. The therapeutic result is better if this point on the spine is sore and painful when pressed.

(2) Moxibustion with Moxa Cones on Baihui (GV 20)

Technique: Apply seven moxa cones as big as a soybean on Baihui (GV 20). The method treats hematochezia without hemorrhoid.

(3) Moxibustion with Moxa Cones on Qihai (Ren 6) and Other Points

Points: Qihai (Ren 6), Zhongwan (Ren 12) and Zusanli (ST 36)

Technique: Use seven to 10 moxa cones on each of the points above. The method treats abdominal pain and blood tinged diarrhea. The treatment can warm up the spleen and strengthen the stomach.

(4) Suspended Moxibustion with Moxa Stick

Points: Laogong (PC8), Taibai (SP3), Heyang (BL 55) and Geshu(BL 17)

Technique: Perform suspended moxibustion with moxa stick on. These points bilaterally, applying five minutes of moxibustion on each  point. The method relieves persistent hematochezia.
