Treatment of urethritis, urethritis medical advice

Health Description
Health Consultation Description: I have had the constant urge to urinate for almost 2 weeks now- no burning or discharge, just constant unceasing urge to urinate that is unchanged by actually emptying my bladder. I saw a urologist who thinks it is urethritis, though I've never been sexually active, and thought all cultures are clear, coupled with a clear ultrasound and CT scan. I've been on Macrobid for about a week now, and haven't seen any improvement yet. Is there a chance it could be viral urethritis, or something else altogether? I'm very worried, as this is having quite an inconvenient effect on my life. Any help would be much appreciated.

You may have viral urethritis, and your doctor can test for this, as well as provide antiviral medication.

There is no need to be worried at this point; some conditions do not respond to treatment right away, and just being educated on your treatment options, as well as track your symptoms are the best things you can do right now.
