Drink of Hawthorn Fruit and Walnut for Prolonging Life

INGREDIENTS
Walnut kernel, Semen Juglandis  150g
Hawthorn fruit, Fructus Crataegi (Shanzha)    50g
White sugar  200g

PROCESS: Add a bit of water into the walnut kernel and grind it into a fine mash with a stone mill; put it in a container, add the right amount of cool boiled water to make a thin paste. Remove the stones from the hawthorn fruit, then cut it into slices; add 500 ml of water to decoct it for half an hour; filter out the extract, add water, heat it and get extract again. Put all the extract together and heat it again over the fire; put in white sugar and keep on stirring to make it dissolved, and then pour the thin paste of the walnut kernel into the extract slowly, stir it while pouring and heat it until it simmers.

DIRECTIONS: Take it as a drink once in the morning and once in the evening; it is fit to be taken hot.
