Hard to say if your condition has been misdiagnosed. But yes, as you say if your child doesn't have the same sort of rash than it is extremely unlikely that you have scabies. Perhaps it's an allergy ... please discuss with your doctor and try antihistamines. It won't do any harm in trying this.
