1) Stagnation of Liver Qi and Gallbladder Qi

3) Heat Accumulation in the Gallbladder
Chief Manifestations: Burning pain in the right hypochondrium, bitter taste in the mouth, dry throat, flushed face with red eyes, constipation, scanty and deep yellow urine, restlessness, insomnia, irritability, red tongue with yellow, thick and dry coating, and wiry and rapid pulse.
4) Damp Heat in the Liver and Gallbladder
Chief Manifestations: Distension, fullness and pain in the right hypochondrium, chest oppression, impaired appetite, bitter taste in the mouth, restlessness, mucous stools, or jaundice, red tongue with yellow and greasy coating, and wiry and smooth pulse.
5) Yin Deficiency and Liver-qi Stagnation
Chief Manifestations: Dull pain or slight burning sensation in the right hypochondrium, dryness in the mouth and throat, irritability, feverish sensation in the chest, vertigo, low fever in the afternoon, red tongue with little coating, and thready and rapid pulse.
6) Yang Deficiency and Liver-qi Stagnation
Chief Manifestations: Intermittent dull pain in the right hypochondrium, distension and fullness in the abdomen, vomiting of saliva, aversion to cold, cold limbs, lassitude, shortness of breath, pale tongue with white greasy coating, and wiry and weak pulse.
