1) Internal Medicine
a. Internal Retention of Phlegm Dampness
Therapeutic Methods: To soothe liver qi, invigorate the spleen and regulate stomach qi.
Prescription: Modified Chaihu Shugan San (Bupleuri Powder for Soothing Liver Qi).
b. Blockage by Phlegm and Blood Stasis
Therapeutic Methods: To dissipate phlegm, relieve stagnation, and promote blood circulation to dredge meridians.
Prescription: Modified Gualou Xiebai Banxia Tang (Decoction of Trichosanthis, Allii Macrostemi and Pinelliae) and Tao Hong Siwu Tang (Four-Ingredient Decoction with Persicae and Carthami)
c. Stagnation of Liver Qi
Therapeutic Methods: To soothe liver qi, invigorate the spleen and regulate stomach qi.
Prescription: Modified Chaihu Shugan San (Bupleuri Powder for Soothing Liver Qi)
d. Deficiency of Spleen Yang and Kidney Yang
Therapeutic Methods: To warm and tonify the spleen and kidney, eliminate dampness and resolve phlegm.
Prescription: Modified Fuzi Lizhong Tang (Aconiti Lateralis Decoction for Regulating Middle Energizer) and Yougui Yin (Decoction for Replenishing Kidney Yang)
e. Deficiency of Liver Yin and Kidney Yin
Therapeutic Methods: To nourish yin, suppress yang and promote blood circulation.
Prescription: Modified Qi Ju Dihuang Wan (Rehmanniae Bolus with Lycii and Chrysanthemi)
2) External Medicine
Selecting points: Select the main points of the Neiguan, Zusanli, Sanyinjiao, Fenglong, etc. for the external application. Take examination on the total cholesterin (TC) and triacylglycerol (TG) in the blood serum after two courses of the application treatment.
(2) Massage Therapy
Selected points: Zusanli (ST 36), Fenglong (ST 40), Quchi (LI 11), Neiguan (PC6), Sanyinjiao (SP6) and Zhongwan.
Manipulation: Each point for 20 minutes and take once daily for 30 days.
(3) Guasha Therapy
Scraping order:
1) Scrape the Embryo Containing the Information of the Whole Organism on the whole upper part of the back.
2) Copulate main points: Fengchi, Yamen, Jianjing, Tianzhong, Bingfeng (SI 12), Xinshu (BL15), Feishu (BL 13), Pishu (BL20), etc.
3) Copulate extra-points: The part of Huatuojiaji, blood press point, Dingchuan, asthma, Yishu, etc.
4) Scrape the upper projection area of the head and back until the regulating of qi of meridian is finished.
(4) Cupping Therapy
Acupoints selected: Feishu (BL 13), Yinqueshu, Xinshu (BL15), Dushu, Quchi (LI 11), Hegu (LI 4), Jianshi (PC5), Neiguan (PC6), Tongli (HT5), Zusanli (ST 36), Sanyinjiao (SP6), Gongsun (SP4), and Taichong (LR 3).
Methods: People should use cups to suck acupoints mentioned above for 10 minutes once a day.
