[Location ] Localized  in the erect sitting position, at the post-occipitalia, slightly above Luxi, equal to hair line's anterior border of upper sulcus auriculae posterior. ( Fig.87 )
 
[Regional Anatomy] Skin→subcutaneous tissue→superior auricular muscle→temporal fascia→temporal muscle. Superficial layer, the distribution of auriculotemporal nerve, parietal branch of temporal artery and vein; deep layer, the distribution of branches of nervus temporalis profundus anterior and nervus temporalis profundus  posterior.
