[Location] Localized in  the erect sitting position, at latero-cephalosome, 1 cun above apex conchae auris. (Fig.86)
 
[Regional Anatomy] Skin→subcutaneous tissue→superior auricular muscle→temporal fascia→temporal muscle. Superficial layer, the distribution of auriculotemporal nerve, parietal branch of temporal artery and vein; deep layer, the distribution of branches of nervus temporalis profundus anterior and nervus temporalis profundus posterior.
