How to treat Red eyes by foot massage

This is an acute eye disease with redness, swelling and pain of the eyes, photophobia, watery or dry in eyes and difficulty opening the eyes. Acute conjunctivitis, pseudomembranous conjunctivitis and epidemic keratoconjunctivitis recognized by modem medicine are the same as this disease and can be treated by the following methods.
   
Treatment:
Foot massage: The massage is applied to eye (8), frontal sinus (2), head (1), kidney (22), liver (18), lymph nodes (upper body, 39) and lymph nodes (abdomen, 40) reflecting areas (Fig. 108).
   
Foot acupuncture:
1) Meridianal acupoints: Neiting (ST44), Zulinqi (GB41), Diwuhui (GB 42), Xiaxi (GB43), Zuqiaoyin (GB 44), Kunlun (BL60), Shenmai (BL62), Jinggu (BL64), Shugu (BL65), Zutonggu (BL66), Zhiyin (BL 67), Zhaohai (KI 6), Xingjian (LR2), Taichong (LR 3) acupoints may be selected to apply a reducing acupuncture technique, and the needles are retained for 20 to 30 minutes.

2) Foot acupoints: A strong acupuncture stimulation is applied at Head and face (FA-P 1), Liver (FA-P 9) and Kidney (FA- P 14) acupoints and the needles are retained for 20 minutes.
  
External application of drugs:
1) Red eyes: The powder of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei (Dahuang) 15 gm and Tiannanxing (raw Jack-in-the-pulpit tuber) 15 gm is mixed with vinegar to prepare a paste for application to the central area of the soles.

2) Red eyes in children: The powder of Rhizoma Coptidis (Huanglian) is mixed with water to prepare a paste for application to the central area of the soles.

3) Red eyes in children: The powder of Rhizoma Picrorrhizae (Huhuanglian) is mixed with tea water to prepare a paste for application to the central area of the palms and soles.

4) Swelling and pain of eyes in children: Radix Rehmanniae (Shengdihuang) 30 gm is soaked in fresh water and then pounded to prepare a paste for application to the central area of the soles to produce a prompt effect. The paste is affixed by a piece of gauze.

5) Acute and chronic conjunctivitis: The powder of Fructus Evodiae (Wuzhuyu)">Fructus Evodiae (Wuzhuyu), Aconitum carmichaeli (Fuzi) in equal amounts is mixed with vinegar to prepare a paste for application to both Yongquan (KI 1) acupoints.

6) Ulcer of cornea: The powder of one piece of Rhizoma Arisaematis (Tiannanxing), and Dahuang (raw rhubarb) in equal amounts is mixed with vinegar to prepare a paste for application to the central area of the soles.
