This is an anal condition with the dilatation and distortion of submucosal venule plexus of lower rectum and subcutaneous venule plexus of anal canal forming venous clamps. Hemorrhoids can be classified as external, internal and mixed types. In traditional Chinese medicine hemorrhoids are believed caused by improper diet with too much uncooked, cold and spicy food, indulgence in alcohol, constipation, and over exertion of bowel movements.
